Seeking an experienced DENTAL ASSISTANT who is interested in working in a vibrant community in the southern half of New Hampshire as part of a dynamic, experienced, and fun team of professionals in a supportive environment.

REPORTS TO: Lead Dental Assistant


The Dental Assistant will be responsible for general clinic administrative work and maintenance, as well as completing lab work under the direction of the dentist. The Dental Assistant’s primary responsibility is to prepare the examination rooms for appointments by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary equipment is ready for the dentist. They also assist the dentist during their procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs throughout the appointment. The Dental Assistant may also be responsible for greeting patients as they arrive, submitting billing details to the insurance company and scheduling the patient’s next appointment before they leave the clinic.


  • Update and maintain patient’s dental records.
  • Help administer patient care during dental cleanings and assist the dentist with complex dental procedures including oral surgery.
  • Take and process X-rays of patients.
  • Educate and advise patients on recommended oral hygiene procedures and dental maintenance, including instructions for oral care, X-rays, and other scans that may need to have scheduled.
  • Schedule and confirm patient diagnostic appointments, surgeries, or dental consultations.
  • Operate office equipment, such as computers and Dental software for scheduling, case histories, or medical records.
  • Set-up dental exam rooms, tables, assist during cleanings and fillings.
  • Help assist staff during dental procedures by holding instruments like suction, tubs, and mirrors.
  • Maintain medical records, recommendations for scheduling patients for procedures, and stocking supplies.
  • Greet visitors, ascertain purpose of visit, and direct them to appropriate staff.
  • Compile and record medical charts, reports, or correspondence, using typewriter or personal computer.

  • During a procedure, Dental Assistants can hand instruments to the Dentist and perform supervised cleaning activities.
  • After a procedure, Dental Assistants may explain aftercare instructions, cleans the exam room, and performs exit paperwork
  • Transcribe spoken or written information.

• Pay: $15.00 – $23.00 per hour; Hourly Rate will be determined by experience
